Introducing Dr. Kevin Skipper

Dr. Kevin Skipper brings the skills of several disciplines to Parent Care Consultants, LLC. His background in family counseling from 1986 to 1991 is vital to understanding the family dynamics, listening to concerns of the parents and adult children, and integrating recommendations into the Parent Care Plan.
Kevin, a Chartered Financial Consultant, brings over 16 years of experience as a financial advisor to his parent care engagements. His skills and experience as a financial advisor gives him the knowledge in the financial aspects of parent care planning from budgeting, investment planning, insurance, and planning for financial assets to transfer to heirs.
His personal experience of his father having Alzheimer’s for almost 3 years before passing gives him the insights into the real concerns, issues, and dynamics of parent care.
When meeting with Kevin, you will experience the highest in professional excellence, educating clients on how to understand complex financial, estate, legal, and parent care concepts and strategies. Kevin has a geniune concern for people and desire to see families have a sound parent care plan.
Kevin has been trained by Dan Taylor, author of the book The Parent Care Conversations as a Parent Care Consultant.
Kevin completed his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of South Carolina in 1980. He received his Master of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1985, and his doctorate degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in 1989. Kevin is also an IRA expert of Ed Slott’s Elite IRA Advisor Group which keeps his knowledge current in the areas of parent care planning with IRA, 401(k), and retirement assets.
