This reality is causing many of them to see the need to talk with their parents about the emotional, financial, legal and legacy issues around aging. But many do not know where to start with these delicate and important financial issues.
Dr. Kevin Skipper and author Dan Taylor, bring you the Parent Care Report, It’s designed around the most current conversations that aging parents and their children need to talk about, and will help you understand the latest strategies, insights and news for having these conversations.

The Parent Care Show Co-Hosts
Steve and Julie-Ann are the owners and founders of RetireEASE Senior Services, a non-medical, in-home care company that specializes in providing the appropriate assistance to families and the elderly that wish to remaining independent and at home for as long as possible.
Steve is a graduate of Presbyterian College in Clinton, SC and spent many years in healthcare sales, management and executive placement. Steve was raised in Camden, SC and relocated back to the Columbia area in 2000 with his wife and three children to start a senior care company serving the midlands.
After starting in RetireEASE in 2003, Steve and Julie-Ann have strived to serve seniors with the highest caliber of Companion and Personal caregivers in homes, facilities, hospitals, and retirement communities.
Steve is active in a number of professional groups around the Columbia and is a requested speaker at on various parent care issues. Steve joined with Dr. Skipper in 2008 to become the co-host of The Parent Care Show on WVOC AM 560AM which airs locally each week on Saturday from 11-12noon.
W.Todd King, LTCP, CSA, CLTC
He is a native of Columbia, South Carolina and is married with two children. He is a graduate from the University of South Carolina and has been a professional in the insurance industry since 1992. He was a top producer and district manager for one of the nation’s leading insurance companies. His extensive background includes long-term care insurance, life insurance, individual and group health insurance, Medicare supplements, annuities and investments. After writing his first Long-Term Care insurance policy in 1998, he decided to specialize in Long-Term Care insurance.
In order to provide his clients with access to all of the major insurance carriers, and provide unbiased comparisons of their products, policy provisions and rate structures, he established his first independent agency in 1999. He hosted a radio show on WIS 1320 AM for many years in the Columbia area that dealt with issues involving Long-Term Care.
He currently speaks as a guest on radio shows and to professional and community groups, and uses both his professional knowledge and personal experiences to provide insurance planning and advice to individuals, families, attorneys, CPAs and financial planners. He can currently be heard on WVOC 560AM as one of the hosts of The Parent Care Show, which airs in Columbia on Saturdays from 11am to 12pm.
